A Message from the Apple Investor

There are so many things to be thankful for in my life, so I thought I would share some of that with you, with the hope that you’ll reflect upon everything for which you have to be thankful.

Today is our 16th anniversary! We we were actually married on the day after Thanksgiving back in 1993, at the Lamberts Cove Country Inn on Martha’s Vineyard. Ellen is my rock. Where I’m aloof and gregarious, she keeps me grounded in reality. Ellen is selfless and caring, never asking for praise for the 1,000 things she does every day that makes our home feel like a home. She’s the wonderful mother of our two beautiful girls, who love their mother as much as I do. Without Ellen, life would be a stock market crash. We’ve been together for over 18 years, and I’m thankful for every day.

What can I say? Two teenagers, oh the joy of raising two teenage girls…They are smart, beautiful in every way, and independent and mature beyond their years. We’re so proud of them both, although they bring many challenges to our lives. I like to think of those challenges are character and soul building exercises. I’m so thankful for them, as they are my inspiration and what brings real purpose to our lives.

Tom and Georgia, who thankfully live close by so that my kids can enjoy the love they’ve shown me and my brother Peter all our lives. And now they bask in the glory of their grandchildren.

And finally our animals, there’s my faithful dog Gyasi (Jaw-see) the Ridgeback. That’s him in the picture above when he was just 18 months old. Gyasi is quite a bit older now, with a white face, but every bit as gorgeous as he was in that picture taken 10 years back. When he was 3 years old he nearly died from a 6 lb. tumor in his chest. It was removed along with 4 ribs and replaced by a plate. That was 8 years ago, and we’re thankful for that! We also have 3 cats, that adore Ellen and tolerate the rest of us!

Today we’re going over to Ellen’s sister Robin’s house where we’ll meet up with my parents, Robin’s spouse Harvey, Ellen’s dad Izzy, and all of our kids. Should be a great time, and I’m thankful to have us all together. Happy Thanks Giving Day!
